It is Plains Medical Center's policy to provide essential services regardless of the client's ability to pay. Discounts are offered depending upon family income and size. A sliding fee schedule is used to calculate the basic discount and is updated each year using the federal poverty guidelines. Once approved, the discount will be effective for one year, after which the client must reapply. The Family Assistance Program is available only after all other funding resources have been explored.
